Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Central Catholic Find Success

Lafayette Central Catholic's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Logansport Berries by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Lafayette Central Catholic might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Logansport scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 16-25, 25-18, 25-18.

Lafayette Central Catholic can attribute much of their success to Kiyah Sturgeon, who had 16 digs and two aces.

Sturgeon wasn't the only good server: Lafayette Central Catholic was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

The victory got Lafayette Central Catholic back to even at 1-1. As for Logansport, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
