Baseball Preview: Hershey Trojans vs. Northern Lebanon Vikings
The Hershey Trojans will face off against the Northern Lebanon Vikings at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Hershey took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Lower Dauphin as Hershey made off with an 11-5 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Trojans considering their one-run performance the game before.

Danny Nelson was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Nelson was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sean Callahan, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Bennett Sheppard, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Northern Lebanon waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Raiders.
Connor Stoltz was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Anspach, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
Hershey now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Northern Lebanon, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
