Baseball Recap: Fairmont Comes Up Short

Fairmont came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-1 to the Lake View Wild Gators. The Golden Tornadoes were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wild Gators earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Fairmont's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Lake View, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairmont will welcome Red Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Fairmont's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Lake View, they will host Latta at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Latta will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Lake View surely won't give up without a fight.
