Recap: Spring Creek Spartans vs. McQueen Lancers
The Spring Creek Spartans's game on Friday was all tied up 16-16 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 36-29 to McQueen. Spring Creek has not had much luck with McQueen recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Spring Creek's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brianna Dimick, who scored 4 points along with 7 rebounds. Kenleigh Carsrud was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
McQueen found their leader in underclassman Audrey Baumgardner, who scored 16 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Jaleigh Fred, who scored 7 points along with 7 steals.
Spring Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for McQueen, their victory bumped their record up to 1-3.
Spring Creek will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against North Valleys at 8:00 a.m. on December 2nd. North Valleys presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Spring Creek in Nevada (North Valleys is ranked 14th, while Spring Creek is ranked 67th). As for McQueen, they will square off against Churchill County at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
