Berkeley has gone 9-1 against Piedmont recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Yellowjackets will head out on the road to challenge the Highlanders at 6:30 p.m. Piedmont took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Berkeley, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Berkeley earned a 3-1 win over Encinal. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Yellowjackets.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-19, 22-25, 25-14.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Piedmont's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Alameda by a score of 3-2. Highlanders fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Hornets since Tuesday.

Piedmont started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 23-25, 25-11, 25-19, 15-5.

The victory got Berkeley back to even at 5-5. As for Piedmont, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.

Everything went Berkeley's way against Piedmont when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Berkeley made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Yellowjackets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Highlanders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
