Basketball Recap: Delano Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Alexandria

On Saturday, Delano faced Alexandria in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Delano Tigers took a hard 77-61 fall against the Alexandria Cardinals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 58-46 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2021.

Delano's loss dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Alexandria, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

Delano wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, an 86-26 win against Hutchinson on the 18th. As for Alexandria, they have also already played their next contest, an 89-75 defeat against Providence Academy on the 17th.
