Basketball Recap: Cottage Grove Comes Up Short

Cottage Grove and Junction City squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Cottage Grove had to settle for second. They took a 62-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Junction City Tigers. The Lions just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Cottage Grove's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Junction City, their win bumped their record up to 7-14.

Coming up, Cottage Grove will face off against North Bend at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Junction City, they are taking a road trip to take on Marist at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Marist will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Junction City surely won't give up without a fight.
