Softball Recap: Southern Christian Comes Up Short

Southern Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Fort Dale Academy Eagles, falling 12-4. That's two games in a row now that the Patriots have lost by exactly eight runs.

Southern Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia McDaniel, who scored a run while going 1-for-1. Jacelyn Mckee also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Southern Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Fort Dale Academy, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Southern Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-1 loss against Macon-East Montgomery Academy on the 28th. As for Fort Dale Academy, they will challenge Hooper Academy at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Fort Dale Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
