Football Game Preview: Alton Redbirds vs. Edwardsville Tigers

Alton hasn't had much luck against Edwardsville recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Redbirds will head out to face off against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Alton has given up an average of 38.6 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Alton had to suffer through a 57-13 loss at the hands of Belleville West.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Edwardsville challenged O'Fallon on Friday. The Tigers blew past the Panthers 35-3. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Edwardsville's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Alton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Alton was dealt a bruising 42-0 loss at the hands of Edwardsville when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Redbirds, Steven Moore Jr. (who rushed for 117 yards and one score on only 11 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
