Volleyball Game Preview: Plano East Panthers vs. Wylie East Raiders

Plano East is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Thursday. They will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Wylie East Raiders at 7:15 p.m.

Plano East saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to Dallas Jesuit. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Plano East ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Wylie East made easy work of Mesquite on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-19, 25-9.

Plano East's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Wylie East, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Plano East took their win against Wylie East in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0. Does Plano East have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wylie East turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
