Volleyball Recap: Early County Comes Up Short

Early County lost against Mitchell County back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bobcats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Early County was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-23.

Early County's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Mitchell County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season.

Early County will host Calhoun County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mitchell County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Thomasville on the 25th.
