Baseball Recap: Mojave Takes a Loss

Mojave was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 18-1 to the Lone Pine Eagles. If the Mustangs were looking for revenge after losing 12-1 to the Eagles when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mojave saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayan Zazueta, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Zazueta is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Mojave's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Lone Pine, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Lone Pine will venture away from home to take on Trona at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mojave will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' game: after the Eagles face off against Mammoth, they'll take on Mojave again at 3:15 p.m. on the 24th.
