Recap: Temple Tigers vs. Heard County Braves
The Temple Tigers lost against the Heard County Braves back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Temple lost to Heard County on the road by a decisive 43-29 margin. Temple has struggled against Heard County recently, as their matchup on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cj Gray, who rushed for 149 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Maclann Metayer also helped out as he racked up 106 rushing yards.
Ethan Tisdale had an outrageously good game for Heard County as he rushed for 149 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also threw for 79 yards and two touchdowns. Tisdale is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played. Antonio Heath and his 107 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Heard County's win.
Temple has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Heard County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-5.
Temple will be playing at home against Crawford County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Crawford County is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Heard County, they will head out on the road to face off against Lamar County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lamar County will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
