East Robertson had won five straight on the road, but on Thursday they bumped up to 10-0 to make it six. They walked away with a 32-22 win over the East Nashville Magnet Eagles. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Eagles are ranked 86th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to East Robertson's defense and their six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Zach Groves and Seth Keith, who racked up five sacks between them. Keith has been hot recently, having also posted five or more total tackles the last three times he's played.

As for East Nashville Magnet, they now have a losing record of 4-5. Their defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why East Nashville Magnet lost, don't look at Dallas Covington. Despite the final result, he threw for 239 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 18 passes, and also rushed for 34 yards.

East Robertson and East Nashville Magnet are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Indians will take on Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. East Robertson will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.8 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for East Nashville Magnet, they will square off against Adamsville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
