Basketball Recap: Brock Takes a Loss

If Brock was riding high fresh off their 64-41 takedown of Brownwood last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Brock Eagles were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 39-38 to the Stephenville Yellow Jackets/Honeybees. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Eagles came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while the Yellow Jackets/Honeybees are ranked 384th).

Brock's loss dropped their record down to 19-8. As for Stephenville, they now have a winning record of 15-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brock will face off against Mineral Wells at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Stephenville, they will challenge Graham at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
