Football Game Preview: Wall Eagles vs. Bennett County Warriors

Wall is a perfect 3-0 against Bennett County since August of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Eagles will square off against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Wall has six straight wins, Bennett County has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Wall's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 50-0 victory over Jones County. Fans of the Eagles have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Jace Mohr had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 124 yards and three scores on only five carries, while also picking up 161 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. His longest rush was for an incredible 71 yards. Another player making a difference was Tanner Volmer, who threw for 213 yards and three TDs on only six passes.

Wall's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Chase Carlbomb was especially locked on to Jones County's QB and sacked him twice.

Meanwhile, Bennett County was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 36-32 to Kadoka.

Wall's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Bennett County, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Everything came up roses for Wall against Bennett County in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 55-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
