After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Lancaster finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Middlesex Chargers. The Red Devils' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Lancaster's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Middlesex, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-4.

Lancaster and Middlesex will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Red Devils will take on rival Northumberland at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Middlesex is set to square off against their familiar foe West Point at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
