Basketball Game Preview: Muldrow Bulldogs vs. Checotah Wildcats

Muldrow and Checotah are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Muldrow Bulldogs will head out to square off against the Checotah Wildcats at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Muldrow has five straight victories, Checotah has 11 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Friday, Muldrow made easy work of Checotah and carried off a 50-28 win. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Wildcats are ranked 382nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Muldrow pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.7 points per game. As for Checotah, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.
