Soccer Game Preview: Notre Dame vs. Walker Valley

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on the Walker Valley Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

Notre Dame is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Tennessee's top teams: Signal Mountain, who was ranked seventh at the time (Notre Dame was ranked third). Notre Dame won by a goal and slipped past Signal Mountain 2-1. The Fighting Irish haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Walker Valley kept a clean sheet against Maryville on Tuesday. They beat the Red Rebels by a goal, winning 1-0. The Mustangs' winning goal came courtesy of Brenden Bledsoe.

Notre Dame's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Walker Valley, they now have a winning record of 2-1-1.
