Sequoia and Capuchino are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2018, but likely not for long. The Ravens will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Sequoia comes in on four and Capuchino on five.
Sequoia had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Aragon on Saturday. The Ravens put the hurt on the Dons with a sharp 15-5 win.
Cameron Abrams made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Logan Mathias was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Drew Ostrander, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Sequoia kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Capuchino earned a 5-1 victory over Hillsdale on Friday.
Bobby Gomez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits.
On the hitting side, Andres Gomez was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. Capuchino is 9-1 when Gomez posts two or more runs, but 6-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Yulio Ceron, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Capuchino's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-9. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Sequoia, their win bumped their record up to 13-9.
Sequoia came out on top in a nail-biter against Capuchino when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. Will the Ravens repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
