Softball Recap: Midway Takes a Loss

Midway lost against Lincoln back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Vikings came up short against the Cardinals, falling 21-8.

Laicey Anderson was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Keelyn McCuiston, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Midway's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Lincoln, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 8-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Midway will venture away from home to face off against Jasper at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lincoln, they will challenge Pleasant Hope at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
