Volleyball Recap: Byron Takes a Loss

Byron and Stewartville squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Byron had to settle for second. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Bears in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost three in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-20, 25-18.

Stewartville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abbie Langseth, who had 14 assists and nine digs. That's the most digs Langseth has posted since back in September. Reagan Mittelstadt was another key player, getting 15 digs and one assist.

Byron's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Stewartville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-4.

As of now, neither Byron nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
