Whitney had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Oakmont Vikings by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Whitney got a good showing from Corden Pettey, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those no hits gave Pettey a new career-low.
