Soccer Game Preview: Anson vs. Central Academy

Anson hasn't had much luck against Central Academy recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bearcats will head out on the road to face off against the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. Anson has given up an average of 5.3 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Anson faced off against Piedmont on Thursday. The Bearcats came up short against the Panthers, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Anson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 430th, while Piedmont are ranked 112th).

Meanwhile, Central Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 6-3 to West Stanly.

Central Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Anson, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8-1.

Anson might still be hurting after the 10-1 loss they got from Central Academy in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Bearcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
