Baseball Recap: Canyon Springs Comes Up Short

Canyon Springs lost against Rancho Christian back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cougars came up short against the Eagles, falling 17-2. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Canyon Springs saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ayden Wimsatt, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run. Joseph Ursulo also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Canyon Springs' loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Rancho Christian, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Canyon Springs will challenge rival Rancho Verde at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Rancho Christian is set to face off against their familiar foe Hillcrest at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
