Basketball Recap: Central Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Central Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 56-42 to the Marion Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-45 back in December of 2024.

Leading Marion to victory were Luke Wessel and Ryker Salsbury. Wessel to rack up 24 points and five steals, while Salsbury dropped a double-double with 16 points and 12 boards. Wessel is becoming a predictor of Marion's success: when he posts at least three steals the team is 6-2 (and 1-11 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Kadon Mercer, who posted eight points.

Central Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Marion, their record now sits at 7-13.

As of now, neither Central Christian Academy nor Marion have any future games scheduled.
