Soccer Game Preview: Alta vs. Brighton

The Alta Hawks are taking a road trip to take on the Brighton Bengals at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Brighton took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Alta, who comes in off a win.

While Alta's victory against West wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Hawks narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Panthers 2-1. The victory continues a trend for Alta in their matchups with West: they've now won six in a row.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Brighton and East had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Bengals lost 3-0 to the Leopards on Tuesday. Brighton have struggled against East recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Alta's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Brighton, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Everything went Alta's way against Brighton in their previous meeting back in April, as Alta made off with a 5-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
