Softball Recap: Mohawk Area Wins Going Away Against Mars

The Mohawk Area Warriors got the win against the Mars Fightin' Planets on Friday by a conclusive 12-2.

Mohawk Area got a massive performance out of Addy Moskal, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Mylie Pistorius, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.

Moskal wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Mohawk Area lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Mohawk Area now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Mars, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Looking ahead, Mohawk Area is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Laurel at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mars, they will host Beaver at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Beaver will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Mars surely won't give up without a fight.
