Basketball Recap: Red Springs Takes a Loss

Red Springs lost against Hoke County back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Red Devils were dealt a 56-15 loss at the hands of the Bucks. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 427th, while the Bucks are ranked 121st).

This is the second loss in a row for Red Springs and nudges their season record down to 2-7. As for Hoke County, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Red Springs and Hoke County will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Red Devils see the court they'll take on Purnell Swett at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026. As for Hoke County, their break will end when they face St. Pauls at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
