Basketball Recap: Seminole Ridge Hawks vs. Jupiter Warriors
The Seminole Ridge Hawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their 14th straight loss. They were outmatched by Jupiter at home and fell 62-23. While losing is never fun, Seminole Ridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 683rd, while the Warriors are ranked 53rd).
Despite the loss, Seminole Ridge still got an impressive performance from Calvin Warren, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Seminole Ridge dropped their record down to 3-19 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Jupiter, the victory (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 21-2.
Seminole Ridge will head out on the road to face off against the Broncos at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jupiter, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Vero Beach's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matches.
