Basketball Recap: Greendale Comes Up Short

Greendale lost against Greenfield back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Greendale Panthers fell 75-68 to the Greenfield Hustlin' Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Hustlin' Hawks are ranked 30th).

Greendale's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Greenfield, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-1.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Panthers take on the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greenfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Whitnall at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenfield knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 19 contests -- so hopefully Whitnall likes a good challenge.
