Soccer Game Preview: East Chambers vs. Hargrave

The East Chambers Buccaneers will venture away from home to challenge the Hargrave Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Chambers will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

If Hargrave heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when East Chambers took over last week. East Chambers walked away with a 2-0 win over Liberty on Friday. Given the Buccaneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 162nd, while the Panthers are ranked 490th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, everything went Hargrave's way against Hamshire-Fannett on Friday as Hargrave made off with a 4-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

East Chambers' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for Hargrave, their record now sits at 7-8.

East Chambers came out on top in a nail-biter against Hargrave in their previous meeting back in February, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Chambers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
