Softball Recap: Irmo Comes Up Short

Irmo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 24th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 18-3 to the Chapin Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Yellow Jackets of the 11-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Irmo's record is now 0-12. As for Chapin, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-9 record.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Irmo is set to face off against their familiar foe Dutch Fork at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Chapin will challenge rival White Knoll at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
