Baseball Recap: Santo Wins Going Away Against Oglesby

Santo's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against the Oglesby Tigers as the Santo Wildcats made off with a 9-1 win.

Dillan Branham was a standout: he scored three runs while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Branham, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Santo was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The victory got Santo back to even at 2-2-1. As for Oglesby, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Santo will look to defend their home field on Friday against Huckabay at 9:00 a.m. As for Oglesby, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 7-5 loss against Azle Christian on the 1st.
