Soccer Recap: Cherry Valley-Springfield Takes a Loss

Cherry Valley-Springfield lost against Edmeston Central back in October of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Patriots came up short against the Panthers, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Cherry Valley-Springfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 437th, while Edmeston Central are ranked 201st).

Cherry Valley-Springfield has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Edmeston Central, the victory got them back to even at 2-2-2.

Coming up, Cherry Valley-Springfield will welcome Gilboa-Conesville Central at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Edmeston Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
