Recap: North Creek Jaguars vs. Bothell Cougars
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the North Creek Jaguars ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Bothell and snuck past 77-74. Given North Creek's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while Bothell is ranked 211th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Creek to victory, but perhaps none more so than Romen Jackson, who scored 17 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Silas Woodward, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds.
Bothell's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jarell Fermon, who scored 25 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fermon has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Skinner, who scored 12 points along with five assists and three steals.
Even though they lost, Bothell were working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Creek only racked up 13 assists.
North Creek's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-7. As for Bothell, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Inglemoor the next time they take the court. North Creek will host Inglemoor at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, while Bothell will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
