Soccer Recap: Floyd Central Comes Up Short

After flying high against Jennings County on Thursday, Floyd Central came back down to earth. The Highlanders came up short against the Columbus North Bull Dogs on Saturday, falling 8-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Floyd Central of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Floyd Central suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 3-3. As for Columbus North, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Floyd Central will host Brown at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Columbus North, they will head out to square off against New Albany at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Columbus North will need to watch out since New Albany have now posted at least four goals every time they've taken the pitch this season.
