Volleyball Recap: Siegel Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Upperman

Siegel faced Upperman in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Stars fell just short of the Bees by a score of 3-2. The Stars' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Siegel was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Upperman work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-23, 25-16, 16-25, 22-25, 15-13.

Siegel's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Upperman, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-11.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Siegel will challenge rival Page at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Upperman is set to square off against their familiar foe Lebanon at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
