Lampeter-Strasburg had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They never let the West York Area Bulldogs get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. The Pioneers not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 19, 2024.

Joel Weaver looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Chase Messinger, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Devin Campos, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Coming up, Lampeter-Strasburg will venture away from home to challenge Donegal at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for West York Area, they will host Eastern Lebanon County at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
