Football Recap: Hardin-Jefferson Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Hardin-Jefferson was riding high fresh off their 44-0 takedown of Kelly Catholic last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hawks fell just short of the East Chambers Buccaneers by a score of 21-19 on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Hawks in their meetings with the Buccaneers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Chambers to victory, but perhaps none more so than Colby West, who picked up 155 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Those 155 receiving yards gave West a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of JD Zurby, who threw for 177 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 passes.

Hardin-Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for East Chambers, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Hardin-Jefferson will take on Buna at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Chambers, they will challenge Liberty at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
