             Palm Beach Gardens hasn't had much luck against Cardinal Newman recently, but that could start to change  on Monday. The Palm Beach Gardens Gators will square off against the Cardinal Newman Crusaders at 7:00  p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication,  both  will really light up the scoreboard.
 Having struggled with four  losses in a row dating back to last season, Palm Beach Gardens finally turned things around against Benjamin  on Thursday. They walked away with  a   63-50  win over the Buccaneers.
  Christian Laurore and  Jordan Johnson were among the main playmakers for Palm Beach Gardens as the former  posted 14 points along with eight  rebounds and the latter  earned 12 points plus five  rebounds and two  steals. Another player making a difference was  Enorck Vincent, who  posted 13 points along with five  rebounds.
 Meanwhile, Cardinal Newman's and Somerset Academy - Canyons' game  on Wednesday was close at halftime, but Cardinal Newman turned on the heat in the second half with 34  points. Cardinal Newman was the clear victor by  a  58-36 margin over Somerset Academy - Canyons. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Crusaders just coasted through the last quarter.
 Cardinal Newman pushed their record up to 2-0 with the  victory, which was their tenth straight  at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.9 points. As for Palm Beach Gardens,  the  win  got them back to even at 1-1.
 Palm Beach Gardens couldn't quite finish off Cardinal Newman when the teams last played  back in December of 2018 and fell  46-43. Can Palm Beach Gardens avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
