Softball Recap: Summit Snaps Nine-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Summit took a 15-run defeat the last time they faced off against Madras, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Storm sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over the White Buffaloes on Thursday. This was payback for the Storm, who suffered a 21-6 loss the last time these two teams met.

Summit's win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3. As for Madras, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Summit will head out to square off against Ridgeview at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Ravens will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Storm surely won't give up without a fight. As for Madras, they will host Gladstone at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The game will give the White Buffaloes their first taste of in-conference action this season.
