Volleyball Recap: Groton Tigers vs. Webster Bearcats
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Groton had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Webster Bearcats. The victory was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on three straight.
Groton walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-13, 25-21, 25-19.
Groton is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. As for Webster, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-13.
Groton will square off against Mt. Vernon/Plankinton on Tuesday. Mt. Vernon/Plankinton will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Groton surely won't give up without a fight. Webster does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
