Baseball Recap: Riceville Sets Scoring Season-High Against New Hampton

Riceville scored the most runs they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 8-5 to the New Hampton Chickasaws. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 6-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Riceville's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3. As for New Hampton, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

While Riceville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
