Volleyball Recap: Chatfield Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Chatfield waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Castle View Sabercats by a score of 3-1. For the Chargers, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Sabercats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2023.

Emme Mordi paced Chatfield's offense, picking up 18 kills. Mordi got some help from Tally Smith and her 17 assists. Mordi also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kayt Gall, racking up three apiece.

Despite the loss, Castle View still got an impressive performance from Kate Erickson, who had ten digs and four aces. Another player making a difference was Bradli Brown, who had 12 digs and one assist.

Chatfield's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Castle View, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chatfield will challenge Rock Canyon at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Castle View, they will venture away from home to take on Dakota Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
