Volleyball Recap: Chequamegon Triumphs

Chequamegon won the last time they faced Washburn and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Screaming Eagles came out on top against the Castle Guards by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Screaming Eagles.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 28-26.

Angelina BeBeau paced Chequamegon's offense, picking up eight kills. BeBeau got some help from Jalen Brunell and her 16 assists.

Chequamegon's record is now 8-4. As for Washburn, their defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Chequamegon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Crandon on the 2nd. As for Washburn, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Mellen at 7:00 p.m. on the 11th.
