Volleyball Recap: Cedar Valley Aviators vs. Bingham Miners
Cedar Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Bingham Miners. The Aviators were not able to make up for their loss to the Miners from their previous meeting back in October of 2019.
Cedar Valley started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-15, 25-18, 25-21.
Isabel Levorsen paced Cedar Valley's offense, picking up 13 kills. Levorsen got some help from Delaney Hall and her 11 assists. Hall was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Cedar Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Bingham, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cedar Valley will square off against Herriman at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bingham, they will be taking part in a tournament against Box Elder at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
