Softball Recap: Caldera Comes Up Short

Caldera was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 14-3 to the Thunder Ridge Titans.

Aliyah Gaffke made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and one double. She also brought in an RBI, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Analeigh Miller, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Caldera's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Thunder Ridge, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Caldera wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 14-3 loss against Garfield on the 22nd. As for Thunder Ridge, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Timberline on the 22nd.
