Volleyball Game Preview: Lighthouse Christian Academy Lions vs. Shoals Jug Rox

Lighthouse Christian Academy is 0-8 against Shoals since October of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Lions will be playing at home against the Jug Rox at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Saturday, Lighthouse Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Medora, taking the game 2-0. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lighthouse Christian Academy took both sets by at least 16 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-9.

Meanwhile, Shoals hadn't done well against Northeast Dubois recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Jug Rox came out on top against the Jeeps by a score of 3-1.

Shoals walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 18-25, 25-22, 25-17.

Lighthouse Christian Academy better keep an eye on Hadley Haulk. She was instrumental in Shoals' win, getting 26 digs and two assists. Those 26 digs gave Haulk a new career-high.

Shoals' victory bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Lighthouse Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 15-6.
