Basketball Recap: Ryan Clark Key Part of Team Effort in Cyclones Win

West Prairie's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They managed a 54-49 win over the Mendon Unity Mustangs. This was a revenge game for the Cyclones: when they faced off against the Mustangs back in January, they had to take a 80-72 loss.

West Prairie's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ryan Clark led the charge by going 6-for-13 to rack up 13 points along with six rebounds and four steals. That's the most steals Clark has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Braden Coplan, who went 5-for-11 en route to 16 points and five boards.

West Prairie's victory bumped their record up to 11-16. As for Mendon Unity, they dropped their record down to 16-12 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coincidentally, West Prairie and Mendon Unity will both be playing Barry Western the next time they take the court. West Prairie will host Barry Western at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Mendon Unity will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
